front of house after wall coating

Our exterior house painters transform this Gloucestershire property in just a few days. Why not consider this coating for your house?

If the thought of finding a reliable tradesman to repair and paint your house this year fills you with horror, then you can rest easy in the knowledge that you have found the UK’s number one house painting and wall coating company.

We work on homes up and down the country, and to highlight what we do, here is a job recently completed, in rural Gloucestershire.

This house originally started life as 2 cottages built in the 1800’s. It was then remodelled into one home, and extended, to create this spacious property in a gorgeous Cotswolds setting.

The problem was despite the interior being like something out of a homes magazine, the exterior left a lot to be desired, which is why they called us.

Here’s a few reasons to choose us to paint the exterior walls of your house this year, using this job as an example.

The house, being rural, get’s a fair bit of the weather.

This means that traditional masonry paint on this house only lasted about a year and half, and you can guess that the home owners were getting fed up with paying a local decorator to come back every 18 months to re-do it.

As one can imagine, those regular home painting costs certainly add up over time.

It’s not just the cost involved: Can you imagine having to see your decorator so often? You may like them, they may be a friend, but it’s hassle, inconvenience and an invasion of privacy. And let’s be honest, they just want your money each year.

So how come our house painting system lasts so long?

Maybe if you see the amount of work that goes into each job we do, and the high quality materials we use, you may start to understand why.

Working safely with the erection of a suitable scaffold

One of the first things we do when we arrive to do a job on someone’s house is to make sure we work safely.

That is why, since 1986, our company has had the envious record of no on-site accidents.

Once a safe scaffold was erected we got to work on checking the walls for damaged areas, usually this means patches of loose and hollow rendering, which are then removed and replaced.

This is also true with any cracks we find, which are swiftly dealt with, something that a local decorator will often skip.

So a local painter and decorator will just turn up and paint and that is pretty much it.

Which is why their work doesn’t last long.

Is that really what you want to waste your money on?

We spend 80% of each job on the preparation work, part of which you can see here

This photos the stage after we have carried out any repairs needed to the external walls.

As you can see we have protected paths with dust sheets and also the windows are masked up, which contains any mess. The primer above is a bonded mix of cement slurry and unibond™, which acts as a wall stabiliser.

This process is repeated around the house. Here is the rear of the property

Although the property looks terrible at the moment (!), we’re only part way through the transformation.

Once the above primer coat is dry we then proceed to apply a primer coating to the walls, which is applied by hand.

This is worked in to all the nooks and crannies of the house, around the windows, behind pipes etc, and then is left for a day to dry.

This is the first part of the weatherproofing wall system we apply.

We then get our special paint sprayer out of the van, mix up the coating required, and spray it over the whole house.

The spraying method is ideal for textured surfaces such as pebbledash, which if you have ever tried to paint a wall like that with a brush, you will see why spraying is pretty much the perfect option.

It allows us to cover every single inch of wall surface area and the end result is a visually pleasing and uniform finish across the entire house.

This can only be achieved by the Never Paint Again Wall Coating system.

Once applied, we remove the masking and clear up around the site, leaving your home cleaner than when we arrived.

The house turned out really well and our customers were very happy with the end result.

What are the benefits of having us paint your house instead of someone else?

Whilst we can’t exactly force you to choose us, but hopefully the fact that we have been in business since 1986, with a wealth of experience in refurbishing all kinds of homes up and down the country, you can be reassured of a top quality job.

Which is why we are still in business after all these years.

And we’re not the most expensive out of our competitors either.

Just one application of the NPA wall coating system means:

  • No fading, chipping, cracking or peeling
  • Resists rain, snow, dirt, mould and pollution
  • Lowers your home heating bills, saving money.
  • A 20 year written guarantee
  • Conceals cracks, scruffy pebbledash and uneven walls.
  • Cures mould, condensation and penetrating damp.
  • Never fades, with beautiful shades, textures and colours.
  • Stops erosion, cracks, flaky paint, damp and mould.

This is something that tradition masonry paint and a local painter and decorator cannot and will not offer you.

Here is that side wall which you saw earlier on. It now has a long lasting weatherproof finish.
