At this stage we had identified the myriad of cracks on the wall and had cut them out with an angle grinder in order to repair them.
It wasn’t just the side of the house, it was all over!

If that wasn’t enough, we discovered several areas of cracks all around the house.
The owners knew that a local painter and decorator would wither walk away from the job, or would simply “paper over the cracks” as the saying goes.
He or she would do that as they would know that the cracks would reappear the following year, and the paint would have started to flake off, because they WANT to see you each year to get more and more money off you.
We don’t. We don’t WANT to see our customers every year, even though we like them, we don’t NEED to see our customers every year, we only see them every 20 years!
Here is the rear of the house after we had repaired all the cracks.
The method we use in crack repair means that once our wall coating is added, it’s 20 times the thickness of modern paints and hides the repaired cracks, something that normal paint will not do.
Once all the defects are solved and sorted, once all render repairs are done, we take the client outside and SHOW them what we’ve done, just to reassure them that they are getting what they paid for, and their home now has no more damaging defects for them to worry about.
We then mask up the windows, lay dust sheets on the floor, and hand apply a primer coating to the whole house.

The primer must now be added to these walls, which is done by hand.
As per our image of the rear, these walls would have been masked up as to not make any mess.
