Render repairs and protective wall coating for modern detached house

This modern detached house had been extensively extended over the years to cope with a growing family and has been repaired and weatherproofed with a wall coating.The exterior of the house is part brick and part render as you can see. This presented a challenge in so far as because we were only painting the top half of the house (the render), while the bottom of the house (unpainted brick) had to be masked up and covered to avoid any overspray from the application of the protective weatherproof exterior wall coatings.

The bricks were in quite good condition but the render above had suffered from the effects of the British weather and several areas of loose and hollow render were apparent, which had to be repaired by your teams.

Whilst one part of the application team were busy masking the house, our plasterer got to work removing the old render (and taking it away from the site), and the reinstating of the smooth render finish as you can see in some of the photos.

After the whole house was masked up and protected, we applied (by hand) a weatherproof primer coating, and then spray applied a thick coat of fine textured masonry wall coating. The coatings is flexible and breathable and unlike some thick render coatings that can seal the house up, these Water Vapour Permeable Coatings make sure the walls breathe easy!

The owners, predictably, were very pleased!
