One of the most common questions we get asked here at Never Paint Again is how much does a special wall coating system on a house actually cost? Find out here…….

Well, if we could give prices on this website, it would save us, and our contractors a lot of time and money as we would not have to drive to see people, however there are many aspects of pricing up a wall coating or rendering job that we must consider before we can give a price, and visiting clients is part of what we do and what we enjoy!

We do know of one UK External wall rendering and wall insulation company that does it although i wont mention their name but it would be interesting to see how their estimates by email for example, actually relate to the final cost the customer pays?

Recently a competitor in the exterior wall coatings market, a company that sell quality but very very expensive render based external wall coatings, posted an article, obviously aimed at us, telling everyone what they think the prices are for exterior spray applied wall coatings.

The thing is, the prices of what THEY think the Never Paint Again spray wall coating system is, is far too low and do not include VAT or houses that require extensive remedial and repair works, so the figures quoted for the Never Paint Again system by a particularly nasty competitor,  are essentially wrong.

It is interesting to note that despite doing this, the company in question who provide render based exterior wall coating, dont mention any prices on THEIR wall coating website!!!!!!

From our point of view, each house we measure up is different and no two houses are ever the same. For example, we could go and visit a pair of semi detached houses that need painting.

Lets just say number 22 and number 24 Any street.

Number 22 has lived there along time and has maintained the exterior of the house very well. In addition, the rear of the house is almost all taken up by a huge glass conservatory so although the 2 houses are the same size, number 22 only has 2 walls in good condition to paint.

Number 24 however has recently bought and moved into the house after the property being used as a rental home for some years, without any non essential maintenance. All 3 walls have cracks, hollow render and flaky paint. So the two houses next 2 each other, built the same, and at the same time, will have two entirely different sets of things to be done to the exterior walls of the house, and therefore the costs will be very different indeed!

Which is why generally if you are wanting a price for painting and decorating or exterior wall coatings on your house, it is best for us to come and see you 1st.
