This lovely house in the west midlands needed some serious repair to the exterior walls which had suffered from the harsh weather over many years and looked drab and uninviting, a total contrast to the interior which was well decorated and deceptively spacious.

As you can see from the Project images below (which expand when you click them), we had to deal with cracked and loose rendering and the bricks at the bottom were in very poor condition. We had to spend some time fixing and replacing the pointing (mortar joints between the bricks) before we could start the NEVER PAINT AGAIN exterior wall coating process.

Now the house is finished, it is fully repaired and weatherproofed and the Andura system we used on the job means that the house will now not need ANY re-painting, nor maintenance, for at least 15 years, fully guaranteed!

Despite this rather smart house being of a fairly modern construction, urgent attention was needed to avoid further deterioration of the external appearance of the house. The white panels were of a scored render or textured render type, surrounded by modern wooden beams.

After just a few days, our team refurbished all the white panels in the middle of the mock Tudor exterior wall surface, and replaced any beams that were rotten, with an exact matching blackened beam system, and then applied the NPA Smooth coating wall system to the entire white area of the walls.

As you can see, the owners were delighted, especially as the outside of their house will stay looking this good when all their neighbours homes will look scruffy after a few years!

As you can see from the gallery images below (which you can click the 1st one and then scroll through the others), this house, albeit a delightful place, had some problems and issues with the render, insofar as there were quote a few cracks and patches of hollow and loose render which needed to be repaired before anything could be done to the walls.

The owner was well aware that paying a decorator to paint the house yet again, after only being done 16 months ago, started to become a false economy especially as the house was large, so even painting it with normal paint was fairly expensive.

We completed all the repairs, masked up the house and protected the lawns and paths etc, and then applied a coat of Andura slush primer, and then spray applied a good thick coating of Andura Tex gard classic fine texture, in white.

This imposing house in Horndean, Hants., had been built in the 1920′s and was covered with faced brick to the lower part of the house, and a coarse pebbledash finish to the upper floor, augmented by mock tudor beams to the front. This spacious property also enjoyed a large conservatory at the rear and a great aspect to the front of the house.

The problem was that the weather had taken its toll on the house and much of the stones in the pebbledash had fallen off over time, the mock tudor beams were rotting, and the mortar joints round the bricks were loose in places.

Despite this, the house was well built originally and structurally sound, and therefore most of the work here was cosmetic although much of the wood at the front had to be replaced, which we do as part of our service anyway.

The job was far too much hassle for your normal painter and decorator in Horndean, so the company contacted “All seasons” through the Never Paint Again website, and after an initial chat on the phone, a date was set for a site visit.

Our surveyor arrived on the dot, and was able to have a very nice chat with the delightful owners of this period house, and quickly ascertained what it was they wanted us to do!

After a brief survey of the house, measuring up the wall area, taking photos and calculations, hammer testing the wall for blown pebbledash by tapping it very lightly, noting missing pointing or loose brick mortar joints, and then sitting down (for quite a while!) and doing the maths!

The owners were then presented with a fixed price, in writing, with no extra charges and NO HIDDEN EXTRAS and very importantly, no obligation and no pressure whatsoever! This lovely bungalow was a credit to its owners and sits in a large and well tended garden. As you can see from the photos, this exterior wall coating project was done during a bitterly cold week in the winter.

This deceptively spacious property itself had been carefully maintained by its owners, and was in good condition so not too much repair and prep work was required.

This house had all its windows and doors masked up, and then a coat of cement slurry was added to the walls, and all loose and flaky pointing (mortar joints) were replaced.

After the entire house was repaired, our team then applied a very special waterproof and weatherproof primer, and after that, the top coat finally sprayed, with Andura tex gard classic, fine texture.

Needless to say the owners are delighted with their clean new house!
