This brick-built house in Chippenham, Wiltshire was suffering from penetrating damp in the walls and needed a quote for an external wall coating. View the whole project here….

This was coming inside the property and making the inside walls damp, mouldy and musty.

In addition to that, the exterior masonry paint never used to last very long and the owners always had to get a painter and decorator in every year to repaint the outside walls with yet more coats of good quality paint! They were looking for a solution to this costly nightmare, so they contacted us here at NPA.

Wiltshire wall coatings

THE PROCESS: Our team powerwashed and scraped the walls to remove the old flaky paint, and then repaired the exterior brickwork. They then applied a process known as “bagging” which is a modified latex render wash, which is then allowed to dry.

They then hand applied a waterproof primer to the walls, and then spray applied a top coat of the NPA exterior wall coating system. This house is now protected from the weather and the paint coating on the walls will not chip, crack, fade, flake or peel for at least 15 years!
