Merry Christmas and a Happy new year to our customers

Christmas house front

HO HO HO! As the fat man says! Yep, it’s Christmas time yet again!

This is our quiet time of year, as always, as in general, people don’t have their houses painted at Xmas time, so no surprise there, but after a very hard year of hard work and travelling up and down England to see customers, it’s about that time for us to put our feet up, reflect on 2013, and have a good think about what next year will bring.

I can tell you now, it’s going to bring some huge and very positive changes to how we work and what we do.

2013 has seen positive signs of recovery in both the economy and the housing market in general, although I would rather see more movement and an increase house sales, than rising prices because many people would agree that the cost of homes in the UK is way too high.

Put simply, the prices are not worth it.

In my home town of Plymouth, the only homes that appear to be selling are at the lower end of the price scale, some being snapped up by investors, and some couples and families benefiting from the governments new home buy scheme.

People are still wary about spending money on home improvements and are getting up to 7 quotes before deciding. This really is NOT necessary and a waste of everyone’s time. Get 3 quotes at the most for any work, any more and it’s not worth it. Remember if you always choose the cheapest, you are missing out on the BEST.

What’s it like in your area?

Are homes selling? Are you trying to sell your house?

December 2013 saw us release the first of our new line of products, but one of a great range we are introducing next year.

2014 here we come!

Next year will see a growth and consolidation of what we have built up already and I personally have taken the decision to permanently live back back in the UK as I was spending 6 months of the year at our house in Valencia, Spain, which is now sold and we are back full time in Plymouth.

At the end of the day, we made some great friends and had some amazing experiences but our operations over there were lacklustre due to their chronically bad Spanish economy, made worse by the idiot prime minister Snr Rajoy, so it was time to call it a day and focus back on the UK market.

We will be receiving a significant investment in 2014 which will enable to us offer OUR OWN PRODUCTS (Yes, you read that correctly) and will see us change our company structure, plus we will be applying to join the GREEN DEAL scheme as an authorised contractor too, so paying for our services will become that much more easy as the year pans out.

Lots more stuff will happen, including a complete revamp and change to this website, but with so many desperate competitors reading every word we put out, it is best to keep some stuff under wraps for now!

Have a great Christmas!

All that remains for me to do is, on behalf of all of us at NPA,  to wish all of our suppliers and our customers a very happy Christmas and I hope that you get what you asked father Christmas for!

(but only good boys and girls get what they ask for, remember that fact)

We are open throughout the Christmas holidays and only actually completely shut on December 25th.

All other times you can contact us by email, and normal service resumes January 2nd.

Happy Christmas and have a great new year! :)
