Things must really be bad to have taken the step to stop build. Good news about no redundancies, but if build on new sites does not start before the old sites finish, can Persimmon afford to have sales personnel twiddling their thumbs? I just wonder if other house builders will follow and stop build, and how the smaller house builders will manage. Persimmon are spot on about how the Government should raise stamp duty thresholds and lower interest rates. I just wish the Government would listen.
