We have looked into this and the deals on offer, and the deals that other coating firms used, were a rip off.
Many home improvement plans that exterior coating companies try and sell you, are a massive rip off with enormous interest to pay, sometimes anything up to 25% APR!
The best way to pay for our wall coating service would be to either 1) Pay from your savings or salary 2) pay by re-mortgaging a small amount of free capital tied up in your house, or 3) get a personal loan from the bank or other provider.
Are prices are so LOW, you won’t NEED to borrow money!
NOTE: Many of our competitors will always try and get you to sign up on their credit terms. While it seems good value at the time, remember you can end up paying it back over the next 10 years. 10 YEARS!!
And often if you miss a few payments, your beautifully coated home could be repossessed! Also note that these protective coating companies often get what’s known as a “kickback” from the finance company, often getting another £1,000 on what they have sold.
REMEMBER THEY ARE IN YOUR HOME TO SELL YOU TWO PRODUCTS NOT ONE! THEY ARE NOT YOUR FRIEND! THEY ARE BEING SICKLY SWEET NICE TO YOU AS THEY WANT YOUR MONEY!
The first product is the coating, the next is the finance. Having a consumer credit licence is NOT a mark of standards or quality! A CCL is usually easier to obtain than a credit card, so don’t be fooled by false claims from some wall coat companies. It just means they are allowed to sell you expensive finance agreements, that is all!
Paying on finance can be more expensive than you think!
Be very wary! It is worth noting that on average, a texture coating company that sells you finance, ritually bumps up the price, so you may think paying for it on their credit is cheaper, but you will end up paying 3 to 4 times the price that we would charge you!
Let me ask you, what sounds more affordable, 5 grand or 25 quid a week?
They often train their sales people in “sweat shops” and residential courses, hammering into them a script to repeat parrot fashion. They usually have a very high turnover of staff and only about 5% of their recruits go on to be long term successful salespeople in the wall coating industry.
. They are told to stay until they get the order, no matter how long it takes. This in the industry is called “getting the camping gear out”(!).
There are many ex-salespeople who have posted complaints and whistleblower reports on this method of hard selling exterior coatings, and the dodgy door canvassers who prey on old people and promise them a free damp survey in order to get in the door and sell to them, however for legal reasons we cannot post the link, you will have to find them online yourself!
