This old mansion house is located in Warrington, Cheshire and had the name “Park Manor”.
For many years it was used as a nursing home and then multi occupancy flats, and as you can clearly see in the “before” image, the house was a sad and sorry state of its former grand self.

Just standing in the car park, we were almost taken back in time, but tinged with great sadness as to the state this once grand house had fallen in to.
Imagine the Edwardians having costume balls here, cricket on the lawn, afternoon tea, his Lordship coming around for a brief soiree, and so on. The stories this grand old lady could tell us.
The building is, to the best of our knowledge, still the same premises, and can be found adjacent to Victoria Park on the Knutsford road, Warrington.
This was a BIG JOB!
The new owner had a dream, which he wanted to share with us!
Without word of a lie, this is what it looked like “before”!
So if you think your house is too bad condition for us to work on, think again…….
Thankfully, much of the structural and render work had been completed by the time our teams arrived! This photo was taken a few years ago by the previous owner when it was converted into an old people’s home.
The house was to be totally reformed and turned into an up-market restaurant!
Never Paint Again to the rescue!
As you can see by the photos, a lot of work was needed including replacement windows, extensive exterior wall rendering, structural work, damp proofing and so on.
……And to think, we only did the OUTSIDE!
So this is how we found the exterior front façade after repairs had taken place.
The 1st task was to replace much of the hollow render, making sure the old “block lines” were scored back into the render wall surface.
Here is another photo of what it looked like from the view of one of the “wings”….
We then masked up the windows, applied one coat of waterproof masonry primer, and then one coat of NEVER PAINT AGAIN exterior masonry coating and its as good as new.
It is also protected from the weather, and will stay looking this good for many years to come.
In fact our wall coatings come with an insurance-backed 20 year guarantee!
This shows the team halfway through spraying one of the side elevations, this house took ages as it was huge!
Slowly but surely we got each bit done, one wall at a time.
We do enjoy working on large homes and painting commercial buildings but it’s much harder work than doing Mrs Jones’ 3 bed bungalow!

This shows a close up of what were formerly the staff quarters and again you can see that we had repaired the walls, masked up the windows, and added a primer coating.
We then sprayed the textured paint over the primer.

This building is now known as the “Spirit restaurant” and, according to several reviews online, is well worth visiting, (Victoria Park, Knutsford Road, Warrington, WA4 1DQ).

I would like to thank you for the work that was carried out on my property. Since the new coating has been applied to the building the house has never looked better, many people who walk past stop to comment on how impressive the building looks.
